Message from Dean of Graduate Studies

Grand Valley is a dynamic university that excels in serving the needs of west Michigan and the region through our quality graduate and professional programs. Many of our alumni are now leaders in their professions throughout the state and Midwest. Our faculty members are dedicated, energetic, and active in their fields. They focus their talents on teaching, scholarship, and service that prepares graduate students to be leaders in their chosen profession or discipline.

Grand Valley is the only full-service, residential university campus in downtown Grand Rapids. This beautiful, state-of-the-art facility includes classrooms, laboratories, on-site faculty and student services staff, full service bookstore, food court, auditoruim, case rooms and lecture halls, and a modern, technologically advanced library facility.  Residential facilities are available for the graduate student who wants to live on campus. For the times when you need to go to Allendale from downtown there is a free bus service operating every 15 minutes throughout the academic year.

Knowing that not all potential west Michigan graduate students will come to Grand Rapids for graduate study, we also deliver many of our programs at regional centers in Holland, Muskegon and Traverse City. Teleconference and interactive television rooms on the Grand Rapids campus enable students to pursue graduate study from many locations across Michigan.
