Offering over 200 different majors and programs of study, Grand Valley presents you with the opportunity to choose the academic program that best fits your future goals. As an international student, you will need to choose an intended “major” area of study when you apply for admission. For first year university students, we understand this can be a challenging decision. It is easy for you to explore other academic areas once you are here at Grand Valley. Academic advisors are available and willing to help you with these decisions.
Grand Valley State University is accredited by the North Central Association. This regional accreditation verifies that the university can offer “recognized” university degrees. In addition, many of the individual academic programs have their own accreditation, including: Art & Design, Music, Business, Accounting , Taxation, Athletic Training, Clinical Laboratory Sciences/Medical Technology, Chemistry, Teacher Education, Engineering, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Physicians Assistant Studies, Public and Nonprofit Administration, and Social Work.
