Applicants may be considered for transfer admission from another university in or outside of the United States, however, you must have at least the U.S. equivalent of a 2.5 out of 4.0 (B/C) grade point average for all university coursework combined together. As part of the admissions process, you must submit original transcripts from all colleges or universities (any institutions attended after graduation from secondary school) that you have attended. The transcript or marks sheet must show the courses taken, credit hours taken per class, if available, and grades awarded. Stamped copies may be accepted when only one original document can be issued. If the documents are not in English, official translations must also be provided. Grand Valley reserves the right to verify the authenticity of international transcripts by contacting the issuing educational institution. For classes to be considered for transfer credit, individual class descriptions or syllabi must be submitted. Applicants must be admitted before a transfer evaluation to be completed. Transfer evaluations take 4-6 weeks, as each class is individually evaluated by an academic department.
